🐾 Meet Luka, Chief Disruption Officer
Every organization has that one employee who keeps things… interesting.
At Bark & Bond Life, that employee is Luka.
His official title is Chief Disruption Officer.
And he takes his job very seriously.
Luka came into my life like many rescue dogs do — with a past that is not entirely clear and a personality that definitely is.
He is part black lab, part Staffordshire terrier, a little bit Cane Corso, and one hundred percent committed to making sure nothing in this house stays calm for too long.
He has a system.
If I am working, he needs to go outside.
If I am outside, he needs to come in.
If I am carrying a box, he needs to know what is in it.
If I am opening a door, he needs to be on the other side of it immediately.
Preferably before I am.
He has strong opinions about schedules.
Mostly that mine should revolve around him.
There is also the matter of negotiations.
Luka does not simply go into his crate.
There is a process.
First, he pretends he does not hear me.
Then he suddenly remembers something very important he needs to do on the other side of the room.
Then, if all else fails, he will slowly make his way over, looking at me as if to say,
“This is not how I planned my evening.”
And yet…
He will sit in front of me and lean in.
He will wait patiently, or not so patiently, for attention.
He will look at me like I am the only person in the world that matters.
That is the bond.
Not perfect.
Not easy.
But real.
This is life with Luka.
A little chaotic.
A little exhausting.
And somehow, completely worth it.
Welcome to Bark & Bond Life.
